Delete Your Account
Last updated: 9 August 2026
How to request deletion
PayJuntos does not yet include an in-app delete button, so account deletion is handled by request. To delete your account:
- From the email address you use to sign in to PayJuntos (or, if you sign in with Google, from that Google account's address), send an email to renatojobal@gmail.com.
- Use the subject line “Delete my PayJuntos account”.
- We confirm the request comes from your account's email address and then delete your account and data.
Sending the request from your own account address is how we verify it's really you — we won't act on a deletion request for an address it didn't come from.
What gets deleted
When your request is processed, we permanently delete from our live database (Google Firebase / Cloud Firestore):
- Your account and sign-in identity (email / Google sign-in link)
- All groups and participants you created
- All expenses, splits, categories, balances, and settlement history in your account
What we keep, and for how long
We do not retain your personal or expense data after deletion, with two limited exceptions:
- Encrypted backups of the database are automatically rotated out and purged within 90 days.
- Anything we are required by law to keep — for PayJuntos today, there is nothing in this category.
How long it takes
Verified requests are completed within 30 days. Any residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within a further 90 days.
Prefer to remove the app instead?
Uninstalling PayJuntos removes it from your device but does not delete your account or the data stored in it — use the request above to delete your account and its data.
