Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 August 2026

PayJuntos is built to be private by default. This page describes how the current version of the app handles your information.

The short version

Everything you enter — groups, expenses, amounts, notes — is stored only on your device. We have no accounts and no servers that receive your data, and we do not sell, share, or track anything about you.

What we collect

Nothing on our side. PayJuntos has no user accounts and no backend that stores your information. The expense data you create lives in a local database on your phone and never leaves it, except when you explicitly choose to share something (see “Sharing”).

Data stored on your device

This data stays on your device.

Deleting your data

Because your data is stored only on your device and there are no accounts, you can delete all of it at any time by uninstalling the app. There is no cloud copy to remove.

Network usage

PayJuntos makes one kind of network request: it fetches currency exchange rates from a third-party service (Frankfurter, which sources rates from the European Central Bank) so multi-currency expenses can be converted. These requests ask only for public exchange rates — none of your personal or expense data is included or transmitted.

Sharing

When you tap an action that shares text (for example, an invite or a summary), your device's standard share sheet opens and you choose where it goes. PayJuntos does not send that content anywhere on its own.

No analytics, ads, or tracking

This version contains no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, and no third-party tracking.

Children

PayJuntos is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children.

Permissions

Changes

If a future version collects or transmits data (for example, optional cloud sync between people sharing a ledger), this policy will be updated and the change described here before that feature ships.
